Thanks again OzPiper! I had never heard of vulcanite or ebonite before, I just looked them up. Is it considered a faux pas if I clean the silver fittings with a polishing cloth? It might make the engravings a bit more legible but I don't want to detract from the value of the pipe.- knockitupanotch
