Hard to follow up JimInks assessment there but from my experience it seems to lose the rough edges with age. I really think the sweet spot for VaPers is 3-5 years.
Scored some well aged RDF and Stonehaven off a fellow piper the other day. Haven't been stocking up on any newer blends lately but adding some well aged delicacies where it makes sense price wise.
6x44 or close to that. Lonsdale or Corona Gorda depending on the manufacturer. Have found those produce the most consistent and satisfying burn characteristics
The reviews were so bad on this blend i just had to try it. What i found was quality Virginias drowned in some kinda blueberry crap. Was a nice experiment and even shipped the tin around in a box pass to torture everyone involved. Makes you wonder if they created this blend as a joke. I mean...
I dont buy any tobacco I dont plan to cellar. When I 1st started it seemed tedious to age and cellar. I was anxious for lack of a better word to have a nice collection of aged tobacco. Now Im finding jars that are 5+ years old that I didnt really plan on aging that long it just happened...
Always liked the recreation of Bengal Slices. Nice smooth, creamy English. Ive got a tin of the original but at this point its a re-hydration project. I dont have much hope for it but worth a shot. If nothing else its a cool tin for the collection
