PSA: Check Your Hearth & Home 8 oz Tins For Rust.

I just had that happen with 3 out of 10 of these newly acquired 2003/2004 GL Pease tins. Rust was on the inside of the can along the seam and the tobacco totally dried out and off-smelling. Luckily I got them for a steal and both cans of Bohemian Scandal were still in perfect condition.

    Recent TAD Pick-Ups

The guy who sold it to me warned me that it tastes horrible and is an absolute nicotine bomb. I haven’t had a chance to find out myself yet. I’ll report back the results when I do. I’m thinking it needs to be blended or stoved or cased (or all three) to resemble the tobaccos we are accustomed to.

    Recent TAD Pick-Ups

I bought it off an antiques collector/dealer who lives near me. He previously lived in South America and brought back all sorts of oddities from the region.

    Recent TAD Pick-Ups

I just got this Amazonian Nicotina Rustica. Not sure what to do with it, but $15 for around 2lbs of rare jungle tobacco I couldn't pass it up. It seems to be wrapped up in some sort of tree bark.

    Any Advice on Quitting Cigarettes?

I finally quit cigarettes after almost 30 years by switching to Swedish snus. It gives a slow and steady nicotine release which helps keep the cigarette cravings at bay. I still use it during the day at work and smoke my pipe in the evenings. It’s been a few years now and haven’t picked up a...

    Burley Recommendation

Pegasus with a very small amount of BCA sprinkled in. The BCA sweetens it up, rounds off the slight bitterness and I find the end result absolutely delicious. Let it sit in a jar together for a few weeks.

Not sure about the numbers, but the Hangul letters in the two boxes say his name ("Kim in the left box, "Jong Wook" in the right box).
