    C&D Briar Fox Review

Love it. Natural tobacco goodness. Burns easy. Complex enough to keep you interested but won’t tire you out.

RIP, and peace to all his family and friends.

    Contemplating Pegasus

Pegasus is the codger burley to rule all others. I’d say try it even if you didn’t like Old Joe or Haunted Bookshop. It’s different enough to warrant a sample as there is no Perique in it. I’d say Pegasus is a good introduction to C&D Burley blends, especially if you’re coming over from...

    Sweet Latakia Blend Recommendations

Thank you all for your responses and I am looking forward to trying most of these. I have been smoking a pipe going on four years now and it’s great to still feel new to it all. A whole world of exploration exists.

    Sweet Latakia Blend Recommendations

I just smoked my first bowl of Bengal Slices and really liked the sweetness of it. Any recommendations on sweet Latakia blends? I have some Gawith Perfection, Bob’s Chocolate Flake, and might pick up Two Friends English Chocolate. I’m not one to ask for recommendations as I believe in buying...

***What Are You Smoking, May 2025?***

First go with Bengal Slices in a Briar Works. I think this is the sweetest Latakia blend I’ve ever smoked and I like it. I need to try more sweet Lat bombs.

A bowl of the perfection that is C&D Pegasus in a dedicated Savinelli 320KS. I can hear the weeds laughing at me so I will show them who is master of the yard.

***What Are You Smoking, May 2025?***

It’s good so far, I get Burley first with the Virginias and Perique chiming in. I think it has Oriental in it as well. Not picking up on any casings. Burns real easy and a little slow as it’s a C&D crumble cake. I’ve only tried this one tin which is from 2014. Enjoy yours!
