Thank you and all the others for your most kind words! I am a complete sucker for Churchwarden Pipes especially vintage Meerschaum one's. BTW, this smoke's like a DREAM. Just for Grin's and Giggles, would anyone here like to put forth an idea as to how much this pipe is worth? Also not sure...

Thanks so much for your most kind words! But the truth is that most of the credit belongs to Mr. West. I just had a vision and a credit card and he brought the project to life as only he could have!

Thanks Guys! It was really a piece of filth when I bought the bowl for $12.50 With what I paid for new shank, new fancy connector to new tourtous shell stem, I think I am all in at $70. But the important thing is that it has a wide open draw and offers an incredible smoke! Happy Birthday to Me 😁

    Latest Meerschaum Pipe Save.

My good friends at Barclays Pipe, Tobacco and Cigars let me dig through the boxes of estate pipes (and pieces) when they come in so I can get first dibs before being sent out for restoration and sale. This one started out pretty nasty but I saw promise. So I bought it, cleaned it up and then...

    Mr. Brog Dezerter #13

Continued... Most of the time, I Skip the False Light and the pipe keeps lit. I think because of the geography of the pipe bowl.

    Mr. Brog Dezerter #13

For those not familiar with Mr. Brog, the brand is pretty much the European (Made in Poland) equivalent to Doctor Graybow here in the US. And I own several of them and the Dezerter #13, Churchwarden, in a Rustic Ebony Finish is my most recent addition to my collection. I looked at the Pipe on...

    A Pipe Smokers Observation.

As my wife and I are now retired, we enjoy taking small trips which means staying in a hotel for a night or two. Just to set the scene, I am an older Gentleman, nicely dressed and well groomed at all times with Iron Gray Hair and a Col. Saunders style Moustache and Beard. I tend to get up...

    Morning Coffee and a Pipe

My own taste buds are also declining with age (64) so I decided to up my coffee game. After a lot of research, I purchased a basic Ninja coffee maker. I fill it with freshly ground Brooklyn Italian Dark Roast and I set it to "Rich" brew. Now I can really taste the coffee which of course I...

Show off Your Corn Cobs Here!

A couple weeks ago, I had a vision of turning a Missouri Meerschaum into a True "Cobbit" Pipe. So I purchased a Missouri Meerschaum Country Gentleman W/Bent Stem from Barclay Pipe, Tobacco & Cigar in Columbus, Ohio and immediately took it to Tim West for modification to a true Churchwarden...

    Amazing Meerschaum Find and Restoration!

Yep, I was fortunate enough to get Tim West to restore it for me. The man does AMAZING work as you can see. I was also lucky to get an invite to see his shop once our vaccines have kicked in! The pic does not do the pipe justice. The lighter band at the top has natural colouring that looks...

    Amazing Meerschaum Find and Restoration!

Apparently, some IDIOT in the past tried to try and use a drill to fit a new stem and went to far. And yes he did make and use a meerschaum plug for a near invisible repair!

    Pipe Bite Protectors

I took your advice and ordered a roll from Amazon to give it a try. Very happy I did ? It takes a wee bit of practice but when you have the technique down, you end up with a nearly invisible soft vinyl cushion that protects your stem from "Clenching/Tooth" marks.

Including an assortment of old pipe bowl's and stems. They let me look at...
