I want to follow this thread because I have to be careful myself. I don’t get anxiety but have high bp lately.
I don’t remember for sure but want to say straight Va is the lightest nicotine. Maybe put another way the sweetest tobacco has the lowest nicotine.
I believe dark fired and perique...
I understand. I think the fresh seems better if we have a taste for the Lat and the aged better if we have a sweet tooth.
I will smoke a few more bowls of the Match before I make my mind up but will probably cellar more.
Similar vein: I have some 10 year aged Maltese Falcon that I am tempted...
To be fair it’s not a fair comp for me. My 965 is all over 4 years aged and I have a fresh sample of the Match 20.
On a second bowl of Match20 now. Fresh it seems like my (also aged) EMP but with a bit more Lat. The aged 965 is just a lot sweeter for me so far, that I attribute to the age...
Enjoyed a family event for my nephew and his bride who came home for the weekend. ( They live in Colorado and we are in South Carolina)
Was also special as my niece who was there is expecting her first child in the coming days. Starting to feel old!!
Had to turn off lights and close up my...
I’m enjoying the fading of the day and first smoke in a new pipe. The pipe is a Peterson System Standard in the Heritage finish with nickel mount and p-lip.
The tobacco is John Cottons Double Pressed Crème. This is my very first System Pete as well as first go with a p-lip. Not bad but will...
Enjoying a beautiful warm evening watching the sun fade across our yard with my bride of 22 years. We are enjoying a good cold American beer while I smoke a bowl of MacBaren Plumbcake in my 8673 Rubino Antico Rossi pipe.
My most recent attempt was a pinch equal of: CD Chocolate Cav, Boswells Chocolate Creme, Lane BCA, and CD Billy Budd. It was delicious to me, tasted similar to dark (but unsweetened) chocolate.
Enjoyed a hearty meal of turkey stew and broccoli salad this evening. Decided to pop a 2020 tin of Haddos Delight that had been taunting me lately.
The whoosh greeted me to a raisin, bready, fruity aroma. I’m smoking it in a Rossi that I can’t remember the model of but think it is 8626. I will...
Currently enjoying “leftovers “.. my last two bowls were EGR and Bobs Chocolate and there was enough leftovers in my drying dish to load my MM Charlestown Cobbler.
The smoke is great and I am in process of grilling some home grown steaks on a simple old charcoal grill. Enjoining a Pilsner beer...
Currently enjoying some John Cotton Double Pressed Crème in my Bings Favorite along with a sip of Crown Vanilla.
For a few weeks now I have been enjoying this JCDP Crème in a few different style pipes and then rotating those same pipes to Bobs Chocolate.
I have been on a brief but enjoyable hiatus to my cigars until today. Most enjoyed cigars were Camacho Triple Maduro and my all time favorite Flor de Antillias.
Discovered some Windjammer that I jarred right after it came out today and am enjoying it in a MM Country Gentlemen. It has been nice.
Didn't know they changed it. I think I have a tin or so from a few years ago and remember enjoying it.
Sounds like I need to revisit old and maybe try the new. Thanks Jim!
