Show Off Your Silver Windcaps Here

If you get a well built dome one it works well, so long as there is a breeze or more. They got cheaper and cheaper with windcaps until they stopped working well and then it became an internet truth they where useless. Now they're gone. Seeing as pipes without any silver work are going for...

    Why are estate pipes ok?

It existed sure, but what I'm saying is that you could get an estate (making up percentages here) for 25% new and now it's 50%.

    Why are estate pipes ok?

new york where I lived and the internet. Estate pipes sold, sure, but they where not at the percentage of a new pipe sale they are now. I distinctly remember estates being much cheaper than they are now on smoking pipes for example. My memory could be wrong of course.

F off to the Excise tax

Part of me thinks it sucks but a much larger part is happy MI moved away from "report it yourself or we will catch you, maybe, and charge you thousands." Everyone in my pipe club knows of someone who got caught. Now I never bought tobacco in that time period, but I'm glad the temptation isn't...

***What Are You Smoking, October 2024?***

2nd bowl and A LOT changed. The buttery taste completely disapated after then first couple puffs and was replaced by an earthy taste that built and built down the bowl with an iron tinge. It completely took over for the virgina at the bottom of the bowl. The aftertaste of iron was strong by...

***What Are You Smoking, October 2024?***

I've never smoked ceramic. Unlike meerschaum it doesn't mute the flavors at all but did impart a buttery taste to the tobacco. This may go away with usage as this was my first smoke in it. The bowl has very thin walls and got rather hot, so I had to let it rest quickly. The chamber is...

Show Off Your Castello Pipes Here!

Next month I'm adding dunhill and gl peases telegraph hill to my tobacco order. I tried Bayou from them with the Arcadia perique and it didn't work for me, too much perique. Chelsea morning has the most perique I'd want in a blend. I found gawiths cabbie mixture too perique forward. Loved...
