    PH Dark Strong Flake Replacement???

Bumping this to ask you all a question. I just got my first tins of Dark Strong Flake and the tin description says Black Cavendish, not Kentucky… haven’t cracked the tin yet but I imagine a quick sniff would tell the difference. Anyone else seeing this one their new tins? Always been this way?

    Recent TAD Pick-Ups

I did the same. Mine came in with a date code of July 2020… hard to beat that at a discount.

    Tobacco Jar Storage

Wife made this for me with foam core. Creativity ( and physics) is your limit with this stuff. Turned out perfect for what I wanted, but I have this furniture piece dedicated to tobacco so it’s fits well.

Try More Blends or Cellar What I Know?

Wanted to stop in on this and give you my recent revelation. I started smoking in 2017, and cellaring ~late 2018 after trying a lot of different stuff. One I liked a lot at first and bough 1.5 lbs of is Luxury Bullseye Flake. I quickly moved in to other things and didn’t even realize how much of...

Are Many Millennials Smoking Pipes? Also: Seek Tobacco Suggestions

Well I lost interest in reading all 8 pages of this thread but I’ll throw in my input/experience as a Millennial. started smoking gas station cigars at 18. Premium cigars just a couple months after. Picked up a pipe in college cause I thought it would be cheaper (?). I can usually convince my...

A First Tin (really): Peterson Early Morning Pipe

Hope you enjoy it. I’m not much of an English fan, but when the itch arrives nothing scratches it quiet like EMP.

***What Are You Smoking, May 2021?***

Cracked open a tin of 2017 Escudo (the first few tins I ever bought). Seems to be aging nicely, no dramatic changes to my palate, but the flavor is a little richer or “thicker” and slightly less grassy, though not by much, which is quiet nice. The coins have darkened quiet a bit in color as...

C&D Cornell & Diehl Eight State Burley

Couldn’t agree more. (Also a cigar lover first and foremost).

C&D Cornell & Diehl Eight State Burley

Shane did a Tasting Notes video on the SP YouTube channel. Worth a look if you’re on the fence. I grabbed two tins, one to try and one for trade when I realize I still don’t like burley based blends.

    Going To Start Budget Blending

Budget Blending?? Is that where you take a little from the Housing Budget and a little from the Food Budget and mix it in with the Tobacco Budget? Sounds like a good plan to me!

***What Are You Smoking, May 2021?***

Would McClelland Sell Their Recipes and Methods?

If only I had picked up a pipe a couple years sooner... I started in late 2017 and didn’t hone in my “cheap tobacco exploration” phase until after McClelland was gone. Having limited funds in college didn’t help the situation either. I’ve never tried a McC tobacco, likely never will. Cant miss...
