Ah, That McClellands Smell
It’s been wonderful smoking this tin, sadly it’s almost gone. Definitely enjoyed this one! In a couple days I’ll open and smoke a tin of 2014 Christmas Cheer to follow the last few pipes of this one. A nice way to end the year.- verporchting

Ah, That McClellands Smell
Opened an old (circa 2008?) tin of Royal Cajun Ebony and got that never forgotten ketchup smell that we all loved so much. Prefer the older Danish ones but have a few modern ones made in Italy and they are still nice pipes and reliable smokers. I picked up the newer ones from Pipes & Cigars for some ridiculous price like $29 or something like that during a special promotion and wish I’d bought a dozen of them.- verporchting

Pros and Cons of Meer Lined Pipes
Just my opinion: when you try to get the best of both worlds, you get neither. Briar is great. Meerschaum is great. Half of each is not great. Not terrible, but I’d rather have one or the other. Or better still, two different pipes.- verporchting

Dunhill The White Spot: Ring Grain or Ruby Bark?
Ring grain is a thing of beauty and would be my choice. I’ve got a white spot from the early 2000s and the ring grain is impressive and I find the quality to be quite acceptable although I greatly prefer my Dunhills from the 60s.- verporchting
