The Explorers pipe tobacco
Good morning....I was wondering the same thing...what blend of pipe tobacco did the crew on Endurance smoke...before they resorted to pipe bowl residue mixed with seannegrass from their boots. The link from "The Smoking Jacket" seems to be bad. I'll do some searching.- seaelf32

Thanks again for the info. I did see the description for the 17 with the saddle mouth piece from the Stevens' list but didn't see the 90's catalog. I'll have to look that up. Happy Easter. -

Thank you, Dunstanhillwell....it's not a bad smoker....kinda hard to tell from my picture, but I'm not too sure if the stem is original...it's not a "smooth" transition from shank to stem....running your fingers along it you can feel a little bit of a "step" and looking at it from the side you... -

Hi all.... I purchased this pipe last year and can't make out some of the words on the bottom of the bowl. Also wondered it's age.... I see Stanwell, Made in Denmark, 17, Golden??? but one I'm not sure....thanks for any info..... -

Proper way to search forum...
Hi all....new member here..... I just wanted to know the proper way to search the forum to get the best results.... For example, I recently purchased a Kaywoodie "Drinkless" Pup..... How would I enter the search to narrow the results? Thanks- seaelf32
