    SmokingPipes Site Redesign

It look like you can still view by country from the estate drop down. I used to navigate it the same way by selecting estate and perusing by country but this should save a couple of clicks vs using filters.

    SmokingPipes Site Redesign

We need to organize and have them roll back to their best site design of all time.

    SmokingPipes Site Redesign

Something about this redesign resolved an issue I was having with some of their fonts, like the top navigation bar on my Linux laptop. It was normal on my phone and desktop but something about the fonts and backgrounds didn't agree with this combo or Linux distribution and laptop.

    Gladora

HU was never distributed in the States until late last year when Kopp partnered with Laudisi.

    Name your favorite HU blends

I'm very glad I didn't have any of these blends pre K&K change because I like pretty much everything I've tried from them. I cracked open a tin of Directors cut from 2019 that has been my go to cold weather smoke this year. For whatever reason I never sprung for Louisiana Broken until it arrived...

    Just in from STG/MacBaren/Sutliff

The revelation earlier in this thread that STG provides all of the leaf to Kopp is what has me nervous about this. I'm not sure what their financial situation is, but with regulations constantly getting tighter, and the fact that its doubtful that this will ever be a meaningfully growing...

    Estervals and UPS

Does the UPS option not require signature?

    Mylar Bags

I have some Sammy G flakes that I must not have completely removed the air from and they have puffed out like balloons after 3-4 years. Seals are still totally fine but I have some jars from the same batch that I’ll have to A-B.

    Dad Advice

I’m a few months ahead of you, entering month four of being a father. One thing I haven’t seen, and maybe because it’s so fresh in my mind is also make sure you are focusing some attention on Mom. Shes going to be a an absolute Molotov cocktail of hormones after giving birth. One doctor told us...

Kopp to Handle "Worldwide Distribution" of HU Tobaccos

Potentially excellent news. As noted above there may still be utility in purchasing from everyone’s favorite HU mule…. Err shop in Germany. This also has me wondering what exactly happened, or is happening with the FDA deeming regulations regarding new products. I’m also curious if they will...

    Wessex Pipes

You didn’t happen to get that as an estate from SP did you?

Who is the Greatest Living Artisan Pipe Maker?

I saw and held one of his pipes at a show a couple of years ago and became obsessed. Unfortunately I don’t see myself dropping $2k+ on a pipe. I’m thrilled for guys who get to own and smoke pipes of his.

    Early Savinelli pipe, a beauty!

    Beautiful rustication on that pipe.

In Search Of The Burley Unicorn

Peretti Sampler In addition to the great advice above I’D consider the LJP non aromatic burley sampler. $20 gets you four 1 ounce samples. Perhaps you snag this and find another ounce or two of something that interests you and add it to the cart.

    Have You Found "Your Blend"?

I’m somewhere between having “My blend” and chasing the dragon. I’ve found several blends that I love and would have no problem smoking exclusively if there were some magical elf that prevented me from acquiring more tobacco and transformed my cellar into a single blend. With that said, I love...

    Smoking My Rarely Smoked Pipes

I did this recently with about a dozen. Cleaned up the ones I knew were going and took some time to think on a couple fringe ones. Ended up getting two great pipes that will never be sold or traded while I’m alive for the store credit plus a tad extra. I had the box partially loaded for a couple...

    Shortwave Radio and QSL Cards

I very much agree. There’s something special about pulling in a signal(and sending back for hams) on nothing but a radio and a piece of wire.

    Shortwave Radio and QSL Cards

For those who would like to dip their toes without dropping money let me recommend web SDR. Web SDR You can filter by region, band, etc. There are several different interfaces, and based on what antenna or antennas the station is using they will receive different bands.

    Shortwave Radio and QSL Cards

If I recall correctly the BBC started using shortwave at the beginning of the war in Ukraine again. Slightly unrelated but I remember listening to a bunch of recordings of Russian jamming on 20 and 40m at the beginning.
