refinishing Pipe questions
I did try the Butcher's wax finish.. it is ok....sorry no pictures. I still would like to darken the pipe maybe with a dye like I have read with a alcohol mix. What varnish if any can be used ????- erm626

After how many bowls do you clean your pipe?
Could some answer the salt and alcohol process ! Why is it done and how is it done. Reg Alcohol or de-nature Alcohol ?- erm626

Thanks Zack24 i never thought of wax.... I did read using Feibing leather dye in Alcohol then buffing would work. Sending it out to be refinished would be out of the question.- erm626

The pipe I was smoking the finish started to bubble. I clean off the old finish with alcohol and a buffing wheel. Can i use a tung oil or a poly finish ? Nothing fancy just a clean good looking finish ! I am thinking it had a lacquer finish from italy- erm626
