I will try to dig them out later. I’ll have to measure but I’m sure I have one or two that are 4.5.

So I have a few new acquisitions after trading in a bunch of stuff to SP. Heck, one of you might have traded this gem in. I suppose I could take better photos but look at this thing! Objects for reference. I think it’s 4.75 inches. I have a few smaller #10s but this is the smallest #55 I’ve...

That grain and birdseye are crazy. Great find!

It’s super unique I think…at least the two-toned wood. They’ve used boxwood here and there, but I’ve not seen one so skillfully mixed. Yup! I’d love to score a second at some point, but I really only use it to display for pictures. It fits the #10s so perfectly.

I moved on this. It was a project that meant a lot to Kino and once he passed, and since I spend WAY too much money with Luca, I felt compelled to own a little piece of Lecco. Fairly diminutive and light at only 5.5 inches and a lovely shape.

Kevin Godbee on The Pipes Magazine Radio Show of May 6, 2025

For the first time ever I’m trying to be cool like Dino and make a comment on the main show page and I’m getting this. Any suggestions?

I literally had to stop opening my emails from the Italian shop I patronize because I would have kneejerk bought that myself if I had seen it, lol. Gorgeous!

    Ought You to Trade Tobacco?

I'll just echo a lot of other posters. Depends on what you want/need. If you don't want anything specific, just try to sell and buy what you want later. I've personally not met anyone not willing to sell unless they want to trade upwards for something of more value. If you have McC, the world is...

Pipe Maker Sabina Santos on Radio Show of Dec 20, 2016

Really really enjoyed this interview. To own one of her Soul lattice pipes would make me really happy. Here's hoping I can patronize her one of these days!

Anyone Else Trying Russ' M61 Balkan?

Let's agree to disagree then. I don't get pancakes, but I do smell sweetness. In the meantime, I'll reach out to P&C to get some clarification. I don't think they'd just label something aromatic as non willy nilly.

Anyone Else Trying Russ' M61 Balkan?

I don't think Log Cabin is technically an aromatic, though I guess that depends on what level of purist you are. I think the burley is steamed with sugar water, and there's some cavendish, but there's no added aromatic flavors. I love it, but I also like the lighter aros, so I guess YMMV. I got...

I'm Not In Love With Virginias - Need Suggestions

Been MIA for a couple of days. Sorry all, and again, all the suggestions! Thanks! I'll be trying some more blends and putting these VA straights on the back burner to come back to with time once I get my technique better. I'm still pretty new to all of this so I'm going to be patient with...

I'm Not In Love With Virginias - Need Suggestions

Thanks for all the replies. I'll probably research more of the C&D stuff for the price point and branch out from there. I actually have some Castle Hall incoming that I bought for breaking in purposes. Excited to try it nonetheless.

The Perfect, Inexpensive Yet Classy, Travel Kit (pics)

Wow, that's amazing. Just used some Amazon rewards and picked one up for a total of like $7 USD. Thanks for the idea. I might be using this more than my zip up case.

I'm Not In Love With Virginias - Need Suggestions

So I've narrowed down I don't particularly like Orlik Golden. I'm just not digging the grassy, citrusy notes. I'm sipping, so I don't think it's an issue where I'm not appreciating the Virginias. Orlik, Dunhill RR, Christmas Cheer. They're just slightly off putting to me. Not bad, just not what...

    Online Tobacco Seller Recommendations

I think it's great for sorting out what you do and don't like. I do Deluxe, but I'm quickly realizing that while aromatics are nice I, personally, find myself reaching for something else. I'll try the bulk aromatics they send, but I have quite a few tins that I still haven't even cracked. I'm...
