Modern Meerschaum Pipes by High End Makers That Mostly do Briar Pipes.

Thankyou, I remember you had a post of these before. I'll find them and take pictures to show as soon as possible. Have some different styles for sure. Beautiful pipes, really collectable and fine art.

I never heard of "Hilimeer, and I'll sure check him out, thanks. I was also thinking about "Arne Urup" who makes meerschaum pipes regularly, think he is Sweedish. One of the lightest meerschaum pipe is one by Amdreas Bauer. It's an straight pipe with army mount, silver ferrule and an amazing...

I think I have 3-4 of those modern pipes. I really love them. 2 are not smoked. They have that "Duck" look, you know?, and those soft curves and holes in. I'll try to give out pictures of them all. Maybe starting a tread where all can show their Beckler's Modern Art Pipes? That would be cool. I...

WHOW, that was really kind of him. To be honest, I'm not sure if I would sell it for all the money in the world?. But I'm REALLY hooked on collecting, and I NEED a Butera meerschaum, used or new.???

I agree so much. It's really a shame that the costly meerschaum couldn't be turned out to master pipes. I was so disappointed by Yanik's pipes. I even have wax inside the bowl, and as you say, the bore, airhole, is very poorly designed and made. I really would expected more from a fine Carver...

Modern Meerschaum Pipes by High End Makers That Mostly do Briar Pipes.

Of course, and thankyou for reminding me. I have for a long time wanted a Fikri Baki meerschaum pipe. I know what my next will be?. I've been talking to him, and he can almost make the pipe you want. I really want something "regular", bent pipe, maybe with silver-ring on the top of the bowl. A...

Yes, I would be very interested in names of those carvers if possible, also antique, vintage and modern age. I have a poor knowledge when it comes to that, all time area sadly. When I Google and see those fantastic masterpieces of those large....and smaller meerschaum pipes from way back in...

Modern Meerschaum Pipes by High End Makers That Mostly do Briar Pipes.

I really love meerschaum pipes, and started out with vintage amd some antiques. But then I got my eyes up for moder high end pipe makers and brands, making some meerschaum pipes rarely and very limited. The ones that awakened me and I first discovered was a collaboration between Michael Buttera...

For fans of modern art, some Bekler abstract pipes

I see a team that goes through almost all of Beklers pipes, the mouth of a "duck". In some, you see the shank comes out of it, and in the pipe i have, its under the shank, close to the bottom. By the way, thanks for helping me out with the pictures.

Preferred Method for Waxing Meerschaum Pipes

I like the natural yellow beeswax best, but i guess its just the same. When i add beeswax to my pipes, i smoke my pipe first so it gets hot, then i add beeswax on. I use a heat gun to melt some wax on whipers or a cotton rag, then i just hold it around the pipe and let it melt into it. Lately, i...

An Old Meer' Man Gets A Waxing

Hi fellow meerschaum smokers. I have a beautiful, 19th century, carved general face meerschaum pipe with glass eyes. I would love to get it in good shape again, cause its verry dry. I have some spermaceti oil and wax that i got from a friend who was in a project with a dead sperm whale that had...

Use This Instead of Whale Oil or Beeswax

Hi there. Would love to hear how it goes with the jojoba oil. I bought a bottle of it myself. Also, i got in contact with 2 beekeepers and got some nice beewax. One light yellow and the other almost light green. Different flora in different erea i guess. Anyway, the way i do it is, first i put...
