Where do you smoke your pipe?
I was under the impression that the hysterical anti-smoking Nazis hadn't made as much impact on your side of the pond as they have over here but reading some of your comments, it sounds as though you are having it even rougher than we are (depending on the state)! Tongue bite - which is it?
Okay, I've only been at this for a couple of months and still trying to find my 'tempo' but I seem to read confusing comments in tobacco reviews. Some seem to imply that it's packing too dry and loose that will give tongue bite because the tobacco will be 'burning hot'; others seem to suggest...- richjw

Recommended aromatics?
Not easy to get hold of on your side of the pond but GQ Aromatic/Latakia blends are amazing. It doesn't sound as though it should work but it really does. I'm a beginner myself and GQ Chocolate and Vanilla is now my No1 smoke...- richjw

Bent or straight for beginers.
Far be it from me to give anyone advice as a beginner myself but I have always found the look of straight pipes more appealing. I have a couple of mi-range straight Savinellis and I am finding that the 6mm balsa filter system is working really well in terms of giving a cool dry smoke.- richjw
