Where do you smoke your pipe?

I was under the impression that the hysterical anti-smoking Nazis hadn't made as much impact on your side of the pond as they have over here but reading some of your comments, it sounds as though you are having it even rougher than we are (depending on the state)! Look on the bright side though...

Tongue bite - which is it?

Okay, I've only been at this for a couple of months and still trying to find my 'tempo' but I seem to read confusing comments in tobacco reviews. Some seem to imply that it's packing too dry and loose that will give tongue bite because the tobacco will be 'burning hot'; others seem to suggest...

    Recommended aromatics?

Different pipes for different tobacco types

Hi Beefeater33, Yep, I find it very sad. When I was a child (early 1970s) I was fascinated by my grandfather's pipe smoking (especially the aroma) and was determined that when I was old enough, I was going to smoke a pipe like him. However, as I got older, I never quite seemed 'old enough' as...

Different pipes for different tobacco types

Hi All, I've just got started after many years of wanting to give pipe smoking a try and with pipe smoking being deeply unfashionable here in the UK, it has been terrific to come across such a lively international pipe smoking community here on this forum. Just a couple of simple questions...
