Love that quote. I didn't know which tobacco he smoked, though have read a couple of books on the Professor. He was a great man, in my view, as I rate greatness, up with Teddy Roosevelt, Jefferson and Washington.
well....I don't know. first time I have sent a pipe to be repaired, and it is my favorite Dublin shaped pipe by Nachwalter, and it smokes beautifully....so I am just hoping it will get back to me at some point in time.

Heh guys, I sent a pipe to Precision pipe repair about June 15, 2010 and have not got it back, nor any commo from the owner despite several emails to him concerning status. any knowledge about the situation of the company? all it was is a new stem replacement.
yes, 112 Mercer St. was the professors home address. Never met or even saw the man, but he maybe is the "man of the century". just read 2 books on him.
