    The Tobacco Purge — Why?

Maybe they know something we don't, i.e., the sale of tobacco will soon be banned, so they're taking their profits before it's illegal. 🤷‍♂️ OTOH maybe Warren has it right.

I'm Bloody Livid: Amazon Refuse to Sell Me a Set of Kitchen Knives.

Is this some new requirement? After all, they've been happy to take your money for the last 20 years. Experian is one of the big 3 credit monitoring companies we encounter here in the US. Besides providing a credit score to prospective lenders they can also help to resolve/prevent identity...

    Harbor Freight Buffing Wheel

To apply carnauba you'll want a stiffer wheel to apply the wax, for bench grinders they are sometimes called "stitched" wheels. A fluffy wheel is used to polish after the wax application. Stitched wheels are also used if you need to buff ebonite stems. I use a Foredom bench grinder for my...

    Thoughts on a Second Pipe

I Recently Found Out to my Dismay

Boiling a stem is not good. In the future alcohol is good for vulcanite stems, and dishwashing detergent is good for acrylic stems. Of course, there could be other causes of the cold sore, in which case a cleaner stem won't help. Consulting a medical professional may help isolate the cause.

    My Experience So Far

Aromatics can be challenging to smoke and I don't recommend them for folks just starting. Codger blends can be a good starting point, and there are quite a few well-regarded blends in just about every genre (VA, VA/Per, Burley, English, etc.) Enjoy the journey.

    Where to go from Aromatics?

I don't think there's a specific order or progression that one should follow when branching out. I started with English blends, burley was the last blend family I tried. There are many good and available blends in each genre, Tobacco Review can help ID them along with the scores of threads...

Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore collapses.

Many fail to appreciate what it takes to stop a vessel of +100,000 tons, it takes a long time (distance). Dropping the anchor(s) or trying to use tugs to stop it before impact would be like P*&&i9ng in the ocean to raise the level. Given the dynamics involved if they dropped the anchor the...

On the Fence... About this Cellar...

Over the years my tastes have evolved so I'm over-stocked on Latakia blends. Fortunately, I don't need the money from selling it and I have room to store it, so for now I'm hanging on to it. Though I've been tempted to sell Penzance and some other blends based on what folks have been getting.

    Any Castello Comparable pipes?

We haven't been provided one of two pieces of important information, what is your budget and how close to a Castello are you trying to get? I find Castellos to have a smoking style all their own that is approached only by other brands that are as equally expensive. If you are looking for "the...

    Mold check

Even so, I don't understand why folks ask for a long-distance diagnosis based on a few out-of-focus and poorly detailed pictures. Normally I don't make an assessment, it's too easy to be wrong. The best advice was stated earlier, if in doubt throw it out, or contact the seller/manufacturer.

Inexpensive knock-around pipe? Hard to beat a cob, or look at Morgan Bones' good smoking briars at a very modest price.
