I live in Europe and in the EU, so for me its very naturally to stock up on tobacco now. Just see the post: "Bad News In Europe and the pipe community" I usually buy Virginias because they will get better with age, but now I have Dunhills too on my list. If I try some new tobacco that I really...

As I wrote this post I did a quality check, I filled a bucket of water and held a 50g bag under for a minute. And its sealed. But for how long? The bags just seems...

    My tobacco jarring method

Just put the tobacco in the jars, no need to heat the glass. Fill the jars up to about a cm to the rim, it will be fine. Me too, asked alot here and read tons. But its easy really :) But from now on Im going to use mylar bags to save some space

Mason Jars vs. Aluminum Pot with a Lever

Cause the silicon will last years, but rubber seems to crack with time. Just something to think about if you planning to age tobacco. They look nice, did you buy them online?

    Making my own DIP

Im reading now about your points about TSN. Thanks for the input, its seriously something to investigate. On what temp are you cooking it for 8 hours?

    Making my own DIP

Actually here it says, cook it for 36 hours. But cannot find what type of tobacco it is. I think its a mix of Virginia and Burley, at least it says on their webpage for a similar product.

    Making my own DIP

Ive tried that, my friend did aswell. The result was horrible we have found. It says in the reciepe that it should cook on 100 degrees for 24 hours. The first thing I do is to throw away the recipe. What tobacco or set do you use? It did not say on this packet what tobacco it is. Sorry. The...
