What method do you use to Break in a new Pipe?
A lot depends on the pipe. Many, if not most, of the better factory pipes don't really require breaking in (a Savinelli or Peterson, for example). If it's raw briar inside (a cheaper pipe, or a fancy handmade pipe), then start with 1/3 to 1/2 bowl for the first few times you smoke it. Don't let...- alleycat

Bents or Straights?
The majority of my small collection is bents (1/4 or 1/2). I also have one "oddball" in my Savinelli Bing's Favorite, a pipe with a extra long stem but not as long as a churchwarden (total length is about 7"). It has a very slightly bent. It's one of my favorites. -
