    Peterson De Luxe Navy Rolls.

I love Paul Mason brandy. It’s $11 a bottle. I tried Corvasier, which is four times more expensive. Didn’t care for it. I feel privileged that the cheap stuff is more to my taste. I can appreciate the nuances of nicer things, but I’m no longer driven to “train” myself to like them simply because...

    My SRV Meerschaum.

I believe those are used to fit stems. All of my meers from various makes have them.

    Finally A Translucent Meerschaum

Eight State in a meer has been my favorite smoke for weeks now. Great choice and beautiful pipe!

    New Pipe - MarTelo Jatoba

My marTelo pipes are among the top tier performing pipes in my collection, not to mention some of the most visually attractive. I hope you get many enjoyable smokes from that beautiful piece of art!

    Bugger.....Covid Finally Got Me.

Your experience sounds very similar to mine, only I also had crippling body aches, especially in my back. Wishing you the speediest of recoveries!

    Why are Dunhills so Expensive?

1937. Beautiful! Your white dot will need to be replaced, which is a fairly easy thing to do if you’re at all handy with stuff like that. Drill out the old one, glue in a new one and sand it flush.

Vintage Dunhill Set of Six Pipes. Help!

The underscored 16 represents 1976 and the 20 means 1980. Looking forward to photos! Congratulations!

    Who Smokes while Playing Guitar?

I tried it one time, but as I smoke for pleasure and not for nicotine, it seemed like a waste of tobacco. I focused too much on the music and was just chuffing away and burning everything up haha.

Dunhill Peeps . . .School Me this Pipe

It’s a bit tough but it looks to be 1970 to me.

    Eight State Burley 2022

I hate to say this, because the longer availability of this blend is a nice thing, but, I have never had a burley blend that I really liked besides HH Burley, and I really, really like this blend.

    ISO 1985 Cumberland Dunhill

That’s exactly what I chose as my special Birthyear pipe. I can help you with the nomenclature! DUNHILL CUMBERLAND MADE IN ENGLAND25 I picked a 4103 which is a standard billiard in medium size. A Canadian shape in the same size would be shape code 4109.

That’s a comeback! Wishing you the speediest of recoveries.

    Buyer Beware: Leftturnvintage On Ebay

That’s the thing, though…he didn’t list the price as cheap. I won a week-long auction. He just didn’t like the winning bid amount and lied to me saying that the pipe had a “defective part” that he didn’t notice and his “integrity” will not allow him to sell it in that state. ?

Aged Solani Silver Flake Not The Same

My first quality tobacco was Capstan Blue. I loved it. That was 2014. Every time I try it now, it doesn’t give me that same thrill as when I first would smoke it. I think it’s just my tastes changing beyond what my memory leads me to expect to experience. I still occasionally smoke it, and enjoy...

    Tobacco Blend of your Dreams

Fun idea! I think I would really like to try a base of Blackwoods Flake, with some Izmir, a little Perique, and the tiniest bit of Latakia. I have all these components available, but since I only have one tin of Blackwoods, I won’t let myself adulterate it for the sake of an experiment. Well...

What Happened to the Coating of this Brand New Chacom?

Are you a newer smoker? One of my first “real” pipes was a Chacom and they do indeed lacquer their pipes. I smoked too hot in my first few years of smoking and bubbled the lacquer on my pipe. Pardon the “new smoker” question, I’m only asking because this was my experience. Some smokers I know...
