    What Time of Day do you Enjoy your Pipe the Most?

    For me it's whenever I find time. A wife, 2 young boys, 2 huskies, 4 cats and 2 acres makes it hard to fine a peaceful 45 minutes to sit down and enjoy a pipe. I try to burn half a bowl on the way to work but it's not the same as sitting down and enjoying a bowl.

    Good luck. Rain city cigar is friendly with some chairs and a patio table but its a bit of a trek from downtown. About 10 minutes south by car.

    The Shire... Just Tips Over!

    So I have been smoking my MM Shire a bunch along with the other cobbits. They all rock. The Shire is probably my favorite but its problem is you can't set it down. Especially while driving. Has anyone come up with a nice stand or tray for it? Maybe something that would work in a truck?

    Not to hijack your thread but I have been trying to smoke some spc mississippi river and i cant seem to keep it lit. It tastes pretty good, a little milder than i was expecting but I can keep it lit for more than a few sips. I am drying it for about an hour and rubbing out completely.

    I mainly smoke cobs and would like to know how i can get the rims to look shiney and have some depth to them. Ive seen it before on well used cobs. Its almost like the have clearcote on them

    Vanilla & Latakia?

    Will order those on my next TAD. I tried mixing macbaren vanilla creme flake with latakia flake this evening... it was well interesting. Not bad but not quite right. I think instead of 50/50 i need to limit the vanilla a little more.

    I was wondering if somebody could steer me in the right direction to find a flavorful blend os strong latakia and vanilla or if one even exists. Last night I was drinking a smoked vanilla porter and got to thinking it would make a pretty good smoke.

    How to avoid burning my tongue?

    For me it was stepping away from the bulk aromatics sold at the B&M and trying some better tobaccos and of coarse slowing it down a bit. Lighting with matches instead of a Bic seemed to make a pretty big difference too.

    I smoked some mac baren chocolate and honey bulk on the drive in to work one morning and only got about 1/2 way. At lunch I folded up a flake of old dark fired and it was pretty nice mixed with the chocolate.
