    Facebook stuff

I deleted my FB profile a few months ago. Best move I made and never looked back. Led me to downsize a lot of things in my life. TV, a lot of phone apps, plans, etc and other garbage in our lives all out.

Smoking a Pipe: Hobby or Life Choice

Pipe smoking is kind of unusual for me. I've never been a smoker. Never knew anyone that smoked a pipe or cigar. Pipes just sorta called to me too. I picked it up one day, lit a bowl and bam- it worked. I am still a newbie and I don't smoke everyday but I enjoy it and look forward to the next...

I'm Smoking Glue In My Pipe.

I'll second that! It is really handy in situations that I don't want to bring a briar into. My cob is really starting to break in nicely. I am amazed at how the progression of smokes has turned out since I bought it a few months back.

And now for something completely different

I just got my hens in June. We built our own coop and run with some hardware cloth for protection from predators. We have 4 and they are very easy to take care of IMHO. Easier than my cats. They are in a molt right now so haven't been laying. It has been an interesting learning experience. I...

What Do You Do Whilst Smoking?

I smoke on my porch while sitting on the swing there. In fact one of the main reasons I started smoking a pipe was to get more time on that porch. I only smoke outside so I will see how it goes during the cold months. I also walk the garden and work on the chicken coop with pipe in tow.

    Cleaning an estate pipe

My first pipe just arrived from Ebay. It is a used briar of an unknown maker. What steps do you take to clean a used pipe before smoking? They say that they sanitize the pipe but I would like to give it a cleaning myself as well just to make sure ;) I am assuming I leave the bowl alone as it...
