    SP Has Frog Morton

*rocking in the corner* Just because it's scarce doesn't mean I need it. Just because it's scarce doesn't mean I need it. Just because it's scarce doesn't mean I need it.

    Sandblast, Rusticated, Or Both?

I have a Lorenzo with a very similar looking rustication. There were a couple few Italian manufacturers that rusticated this way, maybe to try and emulate the Castello sea rock?

Stokkebye Luxury Vs. Escudo Navy De Luxe

Precisely my experience with both blends. LBF flake has to be aged at least two years or it's not worth smoking, in my opinion. After that, I like it just as much as Escudo. Most of the time I leave out the Cavendish core and still find it slightly sweeter than Escudo.

It's Finally Happened - First Artisan Pipe - Larrysson Pipe!

If you're talkin' to me, I'm going with a saddle! I'm preferring them lately for some reason. :-)

Ceramic Pipe Tobacco Humidor — Can I trust it?

I keep my Carter Hall in a bail-top and it keeps for plenty long, but... Carter Hall, ya know? I wouldn't really trust it. Your biggest enemy there is stray tobacco debris sticking to and compromising the seal, if it's even a good seal in the first place.

    The Ring Grain?! AWESOME.

Which Historical Character Would You Choose To Share A Bowl With?

I'm afraid I'd find Tolkein boring, as I'm not really a fan of his work. Not sure we'd have much to talk about - linguistics? Sam Clemens and there's not even a close second. I got married in the building in Virginia City, NV where he wrote for the Territorial Enterprise and first used the pen...

I appreciate the tree pieces for sure, though they're not my cuppa. Just amazed at the versatility going from more classic shapes to those sorts of things and everything in between. Flawless.

    Straight Pipe Smokers

groovediggerdan - I love your avatar. That is one of the most ridiculous and hilarious skits of all time. Old Prospector, Gus Chiggins!

Aging Rattrays in Original Tin or Jar it Up?

I've got a few old Rattray's. They're fine to age as is.

It's Finally Happened - First Artisan Pipe - Larrysson Pipe!

I kid of course - I absolutely would buy both of those pipes in a heartbeat. They're right in my wheelhouse as well, and I especially like the black cherry stain. I hope for your sake the weights are to your liking!

Well - thanks for one-upping me on my first ever thread about an artisan pipe. CHEERIO!

It's Finally Happened - First Artisan Pipe - Larrysson Pipe!

Yeah, I am going for something very similar to the first ring-grain Dublin, which I absolutely love. His blasts are fantastic, and I've heard his stem cutting is perfect.

It's Finally Happened - First Artisan Pipe - Larrysson Pipe!

After all these years, I'll finally own a real, honest to goodness, hand-made pipe! Larrysson pipes has one on the bench for me as I type, and I'm really excited. For those who didn't know, he had taken a break for some time, but is back at it. From what I understand, his website has had a bit...
