    Talk Me Out of This

How tall are you? if you're over 5'7", you will be far from comfy. Same goes for carrying some extra poundage. They are terribly unreliable, expensive to repair, hard to get parts for, suck back gas and are so catastrophically slow that an E-Bike will leave you in it's dust. I know, since I was...

Are there any Modern Pipe Makers using Amber?

Last i had heard, Amber was charging 20$ for some Uh....... stem work.

    I Just Ordered a Brigham

Looks great, just be careful removing the stem on a newer Brigham, the tenon isn't Aluminum anymore, they are very thin plastic, and are so prone to breakage that Brigham has to warranty them. At least according to the nice lady running the local B&M, said every single one she ever sold has come...

    Ideal sturdiness

A Sav/Rossi 320KS is pretty much as solid a pipe as you can get in briar. They are short, stout, and beefy, ain't no burning through those things. But if you are looking to throw it in your tool box and bang it around, just buy a cob.

    Best Bulk Englishes

Father Dempsey is worth cellaring. I'm also a fan of C&D Constellation. Or pretty much any Peter Stokkebye blend, they are all great.

Show Off your Love for the Calabash

PIoneer Eh! Thanks I wouldn't have guessed that. I was under the impression that they were a bit higher end than mine.

***What Are You Smoking, September 2021?***

Had a craving for something vintage. So I grabbed some of this from 2000: And I smoked it in this old Peterson 606 Rocky Donegal, from back when they still had silver band and vulcanite stem:

    The Elusive $5 Cigar

I order from Atlantic Cigar, under the 10 Pack Steals section. You can get some great stogies for well under 5$ a piece if you don't mind buying a 10 pack. I have a big love for Oliva, never had a bad one.

Show Off your Love for the Calabash

Real Calabash gourds please. I have wanted one since I was a kid, they are just the coolest looking thing. I finally got my first one a few weeks ago. I don't know the make, and it is completely unmarked, but smoke great.

    Grandfather's Old Pipe Collection

Looks like your grandpa had good taste in pipes. They look to be in pretty good shape, a quick clean and buff of the stems and a reem and alcohol treatment of the bowl and away you go. Not hard or time consuming to do yourself. The Calabash might be a bit a hassle but not much more than the...

    Candy Corn Anyone?

Interesting, Candy Corn is my favourite. I might grab some so long as there isn't any perique in it.

    Show Off your Pipe Collection

Kinda hard to get it all in frame since the reloading room is tiny, but this is the best I can do. There are a few not in view. 1 more shelf of Tobacco above it, just couldn't quite fit in frame.

    Cellar Labels Website ?

Take image from the inter web, crop to size and shape(depending on jar) in Mac Preview, then print and glue stick. I like keeping the original label as much as possible, but most of my C&D or PS bulk have just the company logo with what blend it is hand written under it.

    Hunting 2021

Getting ready for Duck, but I won't start until the snow starts flyin. Better hunting in the cold.
