    Show Off Your Viprati Pipes

I bought this in 1998, as my bride’s birthday present for my turning 40 years old. It gets smoked about 2 times a year, nothing but various years of McC CC, and has always performed wonderfully.

Soap Cellaring. A Som Besths Miracle!

I guess it was about 6 years ago when I stopped in at the gas station and bought a couple of Butterfingers. My immediate reaction was WTF?? I looked online, and sure enough, they’d sold out to Ferrer Roche. The chocolate was wrong and the crisp was more gooey than any Butterfinger I’d ever...

When Science Fiction Becomes Science Fact (in public, no less)

Quite a feat of engineering and perseverance. I drove down to Boca Chica the day before the launch to see the rocket stacked and ready to fly, and got into Isla Blanca Park early to witness the takeoff and catch landing. After all the bone rattling volume of the launch and re-entry, along with...

What Are You Listening To? - October, 2024

10-12-77 Manor Downs. Buttload of drama going on, but Johnny Winter opened the show, then an intense cold front hit, my ex-girlfriend ended up under our blankets, and I took her home and then the ballet dancer who was my date for the night. !!!!! That night still fucks with my brain.

    What's For Dinner?

A neighbor brought over some enchiladas. She’d bought 50lbs of Hatch Green Chilies, so chicken & green chile enchiladas were on the menu. She grew up in Santa Fe, and that converted into some of the best enchiladas I’ve ever had.

It was a late night at the hospital, so an early morning dinner of comfort food on the way home. Machacado Plate with corn tortillas.
