In NY you can't smoke practically anywhere. I can't wait to get the hell out of this over priced/over taxed hell hole. Who wants to pay $18 for the privilege of crossing a bridge?
I'm still struggling after all these years.
Hell I'm struggling right now as I write this to try and figure out why I can't keep this bowl of Mike & Russ Mind Meld Va/Per lit. I didn't over pack it and I barely tamped it after the charring light.
I've got an 8oz tin of Union Square from 2012 that I'm sitting on. I'm going to wait a couple more years before I pop it open. I've never had it before so I hope it's worth the wait. I may pop it open when my son graduates from HS in a year and a half. We can smoke it together.
@ssjones I've never been there either but I keep threatening to go. I go out for a steak dinner once a year just before Christmas to Lugers. Maybe this year I need to go to Keens.
I've also never been to the NYC pipe club meetings.
I can't believe nobody mentioned Keens steakhouse with all the clay pipes on the ceiling.

I find Escudo both fresh and aged boring but LBF with 3 or 4 years of age on it is fantastic.
LTF is one of my favs. For me it tastes like vanilla and coconut.
What about something more like Rattray's Marlin Flake or McConnell Scottish Flake?
