What Cigar Are You Smoking? 2025

Halfway through one of those myself! For my "daily cigar", that's my favorite without any doubt at all.

What Cigar Are You Smoking? 2025

I had a Ventura “Cuban Rejects” maduro. It was… inexpensive. I didn’t photograph it, since there’s no band and it is remarkably plain to look at. It wasn’t bad, burned evenly though it went out a few times. It tasted and smelled very “cigar” - not sure how else to describe it. It reminded me of...

    TAD Acquisitions 2024

The Deadwoods are still my favorite line. I like the slight sweetness along with the overall dark construction. Add the sweet cap and a very convenient size, and that makes the Janes my personal pick for best overall. At least, in the “under $15 each” category

"Breaking In" A Briar Pipe? Fact or Fiction?

What Cigar Are You Smoking? 2025

Today I have an 1876 maduro that appears to be made of fire-resistant tobacco. I’m giving up now after many re-lights 🤪. I’ve never had this problem before.

***What Are You Smoking, July 2024?***

Unknown Aged Mixture - this was still in a leather tobacco “jar” that I got during my antique store browsing. It was dry, but not terrible. This has a faint, pleasant, but indistinct “spice” fragrance both in the jar and when lit. It’s also quite strong, so it’s in my little Grabow Riveria.
