    Peterson EMP in a cob (got the cob bowl free from an antiques place and frankensteined it together with a stem from a different pipe) Delivery I was expecting yesterday I am now expecting later today - seemingly every pipe smoker in the UK was ordering tobacco in a panic before the budget 😂

    Assuming "codger blend" means otc baccy you can find in supermarkets, Special Virginia, I smoke it daily and prefer it to a lot of the "fancier" blends I've tried, has a lovely sweet casing that's not too heavy and reminds me of rum, smells like spiced raisins in the packet

    Very much enjoying it, the only other English blend I've tried so far is Solani white and black which was smokier and not so light (a tin of Nightcap is also on its way!)

    Vulcanite is a bit softer on the teeth, and maybe it's worth branching out from peterson for a change just to see if there's other pipe makers you like more! Peterson tend to get a little gently mocked here, all in good spirits, but lots of folk recommend savinelli - haven't tried one myself yet...
