Stuck Stem on a Meer
As the meer needs to be bathed to be carved (with water become soft) probably if shank will be softed will let you remove the stem..............I guess Maurizio- pentangle

No Finish (Natural) Pipes
I have a natural virgin Savinelli "corallo di mare" probably made in mid seventies it's a nice pipe, but i can't find differences between top quality pipes.They all smokes perfectly.I find differences only due to the briar thickness and sometime due to the shape.It's more a question of beauty or... -

Help Identify: MLC / Imperial Oom Paul ?
Grabow started in 1982 as" M. Linkman & Co" so we could say : (M) (L)inkman & (C)o.......MLC.Think that's not the silver mark Maker but an old mark of Linkman.Probably they ordered in Birmingham the silver bands asking to print MLC on them. That seems to be a reasonable reasoning Maurizio -

Yes American :-) Never saw a Ronson Viking? Produced from about 1957 to 1968 was the first gas lighter on the market,then come the ronson varaflame.It's beautiful and has a nice particularitity.If you turn it down the flame become straight and enchance the flow.The first and only lighter made...- pentangle

I think most of americans speak only english , and maybe a different version of it,so let the french speak what they like.French pipes are good pipes industrial like many all around the world.Danish and Italians follow different ways but their pipes usually cost more.About lighters i guess...- pentangle
