Greetings from the Front Range in CO

I am certainly not an expert on our native culture but I do find it fascinating. Mesa Verde is a journey but worth it. Similar to Chaco is Bandelier near Santa Fe. Also a great view into our past. It is easier to get to but would still require a car. The West is quite vast compared to the East...

Greetings from the Front Range in CO

Thanks. The American West is rich with history of indigenous peoples that goes back thousands of years. There is much to see and learn here. Mesa Verde is an awesome inspiring place. I highly recommend visitors to Colorado make the trip to experience it. There are petroglyphs all over Colorado...

Fun Things To Do With Empty Tobacco Tins

Where's the Scirocco? In your garage I hope. Under rated VW.

    Fishing

I just returned from the Northwoods of WI. Visiting a friend from college. Spent a few hours each day throwing flies at bluegill, rock bass, largemouth, and small mouth bass. Love catching bluegills just as much as the bass, so much fun on a fly rod. I always tell myself I need to do that...

Lakelands: Let's Build A Sauce Scale

Yup I have seen those options. My point is that for newer smokers it would be nice to have something already curated/put together. The number of different blends within a given type is amazing, fun, but also a bit bewildering. This a great thing but also a bit hard to navigate. Speaking as a...

Lakelands: Let's Build A Sauce Scale

Reading through this as a new pipe smoker made me think that having a packaged "flight" or sampler set of one type of blend would be really cool. I would buy such a thing. Love to have a Lakeland sampler/flight, a straight VA, an English flight, and a VA/PER flight.

    Ennerdale: A Review

Thanks for the link. I am a newb trying to sort out what I like and I like Ennerdale. The love/hate descriptions of it just made me want to try it for myself. I am glad I did. I am looking forward to trying more tobacco of all kinds. Though maybe not a lot of Latakia, but I shall keep an open...

    MM Cob Love

Strangely enough I smoked a bowl of HH Bold Kentucky in a Morgan bones then a bowl in a cob. I was curious what I would find. Still prefer the cob. I heard this applied to whiskey. Drink what you like how you like it. It's your whiskey and your time. Do what works for you. Same in pipes.

    MM Cob Love

I am new to pipes smoking and feel the same. I have a few briar pipes but really like how easy the draw is on my MM cobs. Mine are all filter pipes that I smoke sans filter. I was wondering if it was just me.

    New to Pipes

Welcome. The only aromatic I truly like is Country Squire's TomBiggbee. Order some online from them. Unique and tasty. Used to be called Old Toby. I still a newbie myself, but that one is good.

If I don't have a cob in the vest while chasing trout of quail, I have an inexpensive "field cigar".

Indeed. I have noticed it certainly packs a punch. Pipe induced nap. Love it.

Greetings from the Front Range in CO

Hello. I'm new to pipes. Love a good cigar. Still working through what blends I prefer. I am pretty sure Latakia and me are not friends. VaPer blends I am digging. Also just got a tin of St. Bruno and it's my type of smoke. Aromatics, meh so far but TomBiggbee is interesting on occasion...

First Impression: St Bruno Ready Rubbed

New member, new to pipes. Thanks for the review. It inspired me to pick up a tin. I now understand what quality tobacco is. This suits my pallette very nicely. Have been hesitant to fork out a little more scratch for a tobacco. This is worth it for me. Smokes well, tastes great, room note is...
