First Time Making Rope: Smoke Report

Alright, I had an opportunity to try it again a bit drier. I dried it to about the consistency of shredded paper: plenty pliable, but with a bit of a crunchy, rustling feeling. It made a huge difference. It lit much more easily and required only a couple relights, but part of that was due to...

First Time Making Rope, Leaf Only, and High Nicotine Blending

Lol. Yep, that's the equipment I was talking about not having. Looks great, though!

First Time Making Rope, Leaf Only, and High Nicotine Blending

It was a fun experiment. Way easier than I thought it would be, considering how few people seem to be doing it. Next time, I'll probably need to tone down or remove the rustica to get better smoking properties, but otherwise I think it worked great. Also, it seems super space efficient and the...

Do You Smoke for a Nic-Hit?

You all are funny. I appreciate the good-natured ribbing and discussion. I enjoy the nicotine. I usually smoke once a week, on the weekend, and want a bowl that will hold me in my chair. If I don't feel any different at the end of a smoke than when I started, then I feel like it's a wasted...

First Time Making Rope, Leaf Only, and High Nicotine Blending

I thought about trying plug, but it requires forms and tools capable of applying a high level of compression that I just don't have. Rope was not as hard to make as I had thought it might be.

First Time Making Rope, Leaf Only, and High Nicotine Blending

I just used water. You could dilute some honey in there, but it would probably need to age longer so it didn't burn too hot.

First Time Making Rope, Leaf Only, and High Nicotine Blending

EDIT: Fixed Capitalization in Title (See Rule 9) Hi, second time posting here. I wanted to put this up here because I was having a time of it trying to find good info on how to make rope tobacco. I've been wanting better access to inexpensive, high nicotine blends, and like the idea of making...

    Samuel Gawith Black XX

Hello all, First post, not an “experienced pipe smoker,” but here goes. I like tobaccos that have a good nicotine hit to them; I’ve found that I just have a naturally high tolerance. I enjoyed the flavor of Black XX, the nicotine was satisfactory, and it smoked nicely with minimal delights. On...
