What Are You Listening To - July, 2024

What am I listening to? I borrower a pair of Hifiman HE1000SE headphones today and am giving them a test. As you can see they are huge. Without doing a full review I'll just say they sound great, but I think I'll keep my Sennheiser HD600, which compare favorably and are a much better buy...

Need Some Recommendations for Quality Aromatics!

I smoke a occasional aromatic as a change of pace. I avoid the codger bends but I also don't buy expensive ones. I've noticed that some of the cheaper ones smoke just as well... or better than the pricy aromatics. Actually, I enjoy some of the Smoker's Pride blends. (I know, I should be...

Fun Things To Do With Empty Tobacco Tins

    Any Castello Comparable pipes?

Don't know if I've mentioned it before, but... I like Mastro pipes and the only issue I had with them is they tend to make the tenons too long. That's an easy fix, so no big deal. I would recommend them. puffy

    Things I found Thrifting

Spotted this in an ad for a garage sale. Because they were about 50 miles from me I sent them a message asking how much for the pipe cabinet and if they had any pipes for sale. They answered they had no pipes and wanted $100 for the cabinet. At that price I think I'll let them keep it. puffy

Good Thing Syrian Latakia is No Longer a Thing.

Small world... Old Dublin is what I happen to be smoking right now. It's ok, but I've sure had a lot better. puffy

    Castello Pipes

My sympathies. I knew a guy who got a divorce and his x took all his pipes and told him she did it because she knew he liked them. :(

Was I the First Adopter of Electric Vehicles on this Forum?

One of our sons just bought a new Tesla. Went for a ride with him and when we decided to return home he pushed a couple of buttons and it drove itself back. Impressive! puffy
