My Garden is Almost Planted
Pollinating avocados is tricky. There are "A" and "B" species that must be cross pollinated. To get fruit I need to find out which species of avocado I have growing, and find an avocado tree that is of a species that can pollinate them.- Hovannes

I got a lesson in patience. Last year a good friend gave us a bag of avocados, no idea of the variety though---smaller, thin skinned and small pits, but certainly delicious. Try More Blends or Cellar What I Know?
Consider that at any B&M they'll encourage you to sample a bowl or two of any of their bulk blends gratis, and if there's a pipe club meeting there, they'll often leave an open tin or two of whatever they were passing around at the last meeting for sampling. Who Picnics?
The picnic basket (or whatever it is---a Brit I know calls it a" hamper") is a subject all it's own. I do know there are some very expensive ones with the whole nine yards---wine glasses, china, silverware etc... We've never felt the temptation or had the disposable income to indulge though...- Hovannes
