    Dan Tobacco closing?

I simply emailed info@dantobacco.de and asked them when my pouch was packaged. That white oval shaped sticker on the pouch is the batch number. Mine was 6 digits and located on the back of the pouch. Email them and ask them for the manufacturing date for that batch number.

    Dan Tobacco closing?

Thank you! I was about to post "Say it isn't so!!!" I was a little surprised to hear this because I contacted them last month after buying some Salty Dogs to get the manufacturing date on it. They date their tobacco using batch codes that you and I wouldn't understand. I got a response from...

    C&D Bourbon Bleu

I would agree with the other gentlemen - you are smoking too fast = too hot. When you do that you burn up the flavor nuances and everything ends up tasting, well, like cigarette ash. Everybody's tastes are different, but I think Bourbon Bleu has a great flavor. However, my only tin of it...

    2024 Texas Pipe Show

The Texas Pipe Show was a great first pipe show experience for me! I went thinking I would only spend 2-3 hours there, but ended up getting there shortly before they opened it and left shortly after they closed it - 7 hours! I thought James and Alvin and the other men (don’t know anyone else’s...

    Chemical Tongue Bite?

I'm in my 8th month of smoking and I had a similar experience - primarily with aromatics and Virginia forward blends. There are some variables at play - tobacco type, temp of bowl, cadence, packing, etc. However, as Doctor Chopper points out, most tongue bite comes from the concentrated stream...

    2024 Texas Pipe Show

Thank you for responding. Do you know if anyone from the Country Squire will be present, and if so do they typically bring tobacco and pipes to shows, or just pipes?

    Covid Taste & Smell Recovery

I posted a question about recovering from Covid induced sensory loss in another thread, that yielded a couple good suggestions, so I just thought I’d post my own thread and see what other advice it might yield. Anyone experience any successful Covid hacks that helped you regain your smell &...

    Post Covid Tasting Change

Well, this was a discouraging read. I was hoping to find some helpful hacks to getting my tastebuds back... When I first got Covid I lost my sense of smell and taste for about 3-4 months. My taste slowly came back over time, but I couldn't smell hardly anything for almost a year. Well, I...

    Cob Hazing.

Wow - I guess I’m fortunate. All 5 of my cobs were getting broke in while I was getting broke into smoking a pipe, so I didn’t even notice a difference 😂. I love my cobs - easily the best smokers for sure.
