My first restoration, a Lee Three Star.

Hello everyone, figured I would post my first attempt at restoring an estate pipe. It's a Lee Three Star. The stem wasn't too oxidized and had minor tooth marks. These are the before images. I followed some of the tips from Reborn Pipes and went to work. Used some oxiclean and soaked the...

Question Regarding C&D Bayou Morning Flake

As to bulk storage, I recommend putting it in glass, wide mouth mason jars. I have never tried that particular blend, but that's how I store all my bulk blends.

    Burley lovers, looking for recommendations

my go to burley is Prince Albert. It's what my grandfather smoked so I may be biased. I smoke it every morning on my way into work. The nutty flavor goes great with black coffee. For a more upscale burley I enjoy Mac Baren Burley Flake.

    Question about Churchwarden Stem Cleaning

I just received a beautiful Peterson D17 churchwarden pipe from my loving wife and it came with several pipe cleaners of proper length to clean the stem. My question is if it is possible to clean the stem with normal BJ long tapered pipe cleaners (my cleaner of choice) or do I need to buy the...

***What Are You Smoking, December 2022?***

Smoking some Captain Black Royal out of my Peterson Deluxe 2S. First time trying this blend and I must say, it's a smooth blend with a fabulous room note. Just not much in the flavor department.

Do you remove the stem for each cleaning?

Quite interesting to see how many varying opinions there are around this. I guess it's very much a YMMV type of thing.

Do you remove the stem for each cleaning?

Glad to hear I'm not hurting anything with my current regiment. Thank you all for your input.

Do you remove the stem for each cleaning?

I have a Peterson system pipe that I know it's ok to remover the stem to clean the mortice when hot. Its generally accepted to let non system pipes cool before removing the stem. I've been waiting for my pipes to cool then remove the stem after every smoke to swab out the mortice, stem and draft...

    Greetings from Ohio

Been considering trying english blends, but i find I prefer a sweeter smoke. I'm not sure I'm going to like the deeper smokiness of latakia.

    Greetings from Ohio

Hello ladies and gents, I have been lurking on this forum for sometime and figured it was time for me to bite the bullet and become a member. Been smoking a pipe off and on for the last few years, but just recently started smoking regularly. Currently my favorite pipe is my Peterson 2s deluxe...
