    Peterson 303 Clean Up

I used Bert's bees because it is bees wax based.

    Peterson 303 Clean Up

I used Fitz metal polish and maybe 5 q-tips on the metal band then I used a microfiber cloth to wipe it down and get all the polish off. I soaked the stem in a warm/hot oxyclean bath for an hour and then used micro mesh pads going from 1500 to 12k. I wiped the stem clean with a wet cloth...

    Peterson 303 Clean Up

My My only issue with my 303 is I am used to pipes with a much larger bowl. My IMP meerschaum and my SVD meerschaum bowls can smoke for over an hour if I pack them right so this little thing takes a bit to get used to. It feels like as soon as the session starts to get good the pipe goes out...

    Peterson 303 Clean Up

So I saw a dirty old 303 on ebay and decided what the hell I'll bid. Well I won the pipe and paid 58 bucks with shipping included. This was my first pipe "restore" I've done. After 2 hours of micro mesh and then beeswax with my dremel I got stem looking like new and after maybe 10 min with flitz...

How and Why do you Clench?

That is where I try to keep my pipes but I find my jaw starts to hurt fairly quickly as well as my mouth getting overly wet.

    Supporting Local Shops

Yes, I see a lot of head shops that have tobacco in the name too or shops that are 99% liquor and then sell like 10 cigar brands and cigarettes and then pipe cleaners but they call themselves a tobacco shop. As I said previously the last actual tobacco shop I was in left a lot to be desired.

    Supporting Local Shops

I live next to a major city and I can't find any places that actually sell pipe tobacco (plenty of cigar shops) other than 1 place and as others have said it was 3x the price of online stores as well as him only have 2 different blends. I also got some sketchy old racist grandpa vibes from the...

    Cigars International Coming to Missouri

If LIT sold pipe tobacco I would feel the same as you do but they don't and it's always hard to find a local place that sells pipe tobacco.

How and Why do you Clench?

And you never have issues with it gurgling? Man maybe I just have a super wet mouth even though it feels dry. Do you ever inhale the smoke? I have found always inhale on accident when I try to clench.

How and Why do you Clench?

So I've seen a lot of people talking about clenching their pipes but no one ever says why they clench and they never talk about how far back in their mouth they clench. Every time I have tried to clench my pipes for any longer than it takes to free up a hand my pipes always start to gurgle and...

    Always the Expensive Pipes…

I only smoke meerschaum pipes and I really have to agree. I have found that for some reason the smooth and plain classical looking pipes are for some reason almost always more expensive than the pipes that have a lattice or dimple carved into them. Like why is the pipe that is just a smooth bent...

Need Some Recommendations for Quality Aromatics!

I recently bought sweet dreams, raspberry cream, no bite delite and paradise. I can say sweet dreams and raspberry cream are just fantastic blends and leave the room smelling good for a while. I've tried 3 or 4 bowls no bite delite and while it smells the best out of all the blends I have its...

Do Dyed Meers Lose their Color?

According to IMP the pipe will slowly change color over several years and the green will eventually turn to a dark cherry color but the color will not just flake off like some other people on different fourms have said.

Do Dyed Meers Lose their Color?

I should have mentioned it is an IMP pipe. From what I've read all their pipes are made from higher grade Turkish block but for all I know thats just marketing.

Do Dyed Meers Lose their Color?

I just emailed the merchant so if I don't find any answers here I will definitely edit my post to include anything they tell me. It says it's block meer but not if it is African. Do the African ones have the same smoke cooling and no ghosting properties of the Turkish ones in your experience? I...
