Relaxing after a wonderful salad, halibut and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. Hope to go off my diet tomorrow. I'm a quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2012 Stonehaven in a 2002 medium bend smooth brown Rinaldo EGEA 03 Silver line spigot 10 with a black acrylic saddle stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. When I took the trash and recycle cans to the street, I was followed by the usual feral suspects who followed me out of the house. Dunno what excitement they see in watching that, but as it's cold, they couldn't wait to come back inside.

First bowl of the year was C&D Folklore (sample) in my small-bowled "everything else" pipe, a Foyard beechwood smooth straight Rhodesian. A nice companion while I walked around the ranch, surprised at how little destruction resulted from all this rain. Thanks to @Questionable Source and @TheIronMonkey for the sample and the pipe respectively! 8/10

Bird report: Dark-eyed junco, California quail, California towhee, California scrub-jay, Chipping sparrow, Golden-crowned sparrow, Oak titmouse, American crow, Northern flicker, White-breasted nuthatch, and Spotted towhee.

Regarding 2025, in the immortal words of Paul Bellini, "Thank God that's over with!"

Near the half way mark of this bowl of year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09) with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Starting off the New Year with Savinelli 140° in my 60th Birthday pipe, a virgin, sandblasted Savinelli Autograph Extraordinaire (Eccezionale) Fan*. Using the Savinelli IM Corona Briar Old Boy I picked up to pair with it.

What an amazing story! Thank you so much for sharing it with us. It’s absolutely your birthday pipe. And honestly, what makes it even cooler is that you actually use it for what it was made for. I can definitely see why you’d wear gloves with it too!
