Merry Christmas to all, wishing you good cheer and blessings.

Compromise with my wife, she doesn’t like Chinese food. Going for sushi, sort of traditional, just a different Christmas tradition.
You know the funniest thing about your post is that the Japanese tradition is to get Kentucky Fried Chicken for the family Christmas dinner.

Just been told that in Japan, having KFC is now a family Christmas tradition of sorts - thanks to advertising and good ole US enterprise 🙄😂

Merry Christmas to all it is my hope that y'all are as blessed as we are, all of our kids and grandkids are under one roof.

3 beautiful girls in one bedroom and 2 onery yet wonderful boys in another. Grandma and daughters have taken over the master bedroom while Grandpa and the son-in-laws are waiting to help Santa unload on the back porch thankfully, we are having a nice and clear 66-degree night.

It’s not Gefilte fish and kreplach? 😉. That’s very cool, I wonder what The origin of that tradition is? Now I must google!

Merry Christmas, Happy Christmas, Happy Holidays, or whatever works best for you!

May your cups runneth over with good cheer!

We've been lucky to travel a bit the last few years and my wife pulled a UK/Ireland-ish "Happy Christmas" on me yesterday - I liked it!

Whatever one's beliefs and accompanying traditions I hope folks have taken time over the years to become familiar with other celebrations - interesting and provides perspective.

One of my traditions since I was very young is being up very, very early Christmas morning - got past the staying up all night when I hit my teens, haha, but still was up early. One of the pups was so anxious for Christmas morning (what's that Eddy Arnold song? Oh yeah, P-U-R-I-N-A!) we were up at 4:45 a.m. and now enjoying some peace and reflection while the wife and other dog snooze away.

The daughter who was coming home has been delayed a couple of days because of an emergency with her very well aged pup, and we are hopeful both will be up for traveling today, and if not, pup's health comes first. World's smallest violin but if she doesn't make it, it's the first Christmas without either or both of our kids since 1992 - looking about a living room with no stockings and an enjoyable but "off" Christmas Eve, I don't really recommend this just us thing, haha.

Okay, hanky put away, there are real struggles in this world and having some extra leftovers isn't one of them - all the blessings of this season to all on this day and into the New Year!
