I'm trying this new, seasonal release of Modelo, called Noche Especial. I like it. It's a dark, reddish amber color, flavorful, not strong, not sweet, light bodied. Nice. 5.7% ABV. It feels like a hybrid between a craft amber ale and a Mexican lager, with almost a fruity, red wine aroma. Recommended. 
I've been a little busy lately and haven't posted much but things are better now.
It seems like a miracle to me that I can still enjoy good wine at a good price in Spain; I hope it doesn't have the same future as tobacco.

Took my wife and daughter to see the Christmas lights at Ethel M chocolate factory tonight. Stopped at BJs Brewhouse afterwards for dinner and had one of my absolute favorite beers:
Finally going to crack the 2 liters of eggnog that’s been aging since the middle of October.
Got this for my birthday earlier this month. Damn, this is good stuff!
Too much peat for me. Give me a Dalmore or Glenfiddich any day.
Lucky you. Maybe I’ll pass over the rum for a smoky peat bomb the next time I get to good time island.
The peat doesn't bother me, it more the price. It's a little rich for my blood, so I usually stick to the less peaty 5yo Ardbeg Wee Beastie. Easier on the wallet too...Too much peat for me. Give me a Dalmore or Glenfiddich any day.

Done making the roast beast for tonight. Now enjoying the gift a subcontractor brought me today. Merry Christmas Eve!
I enjoyed this, neat, with dessert tonight. Smells like maple syrup, but has a good finish since it’s a high rye mashbill.
