Very cool. I’ve got quite a few. I’ve fitted them with pipe nozzles also. I love them. I’d also like to get an Old Boy style and a 60’s version with rounded top. On my bucket list for sure.

Here’s one of mine.

I took a brand new 70's gold rollagas and a Gold Tall boy in trade recently.
Where should I send them to be rebuilt? Not holding gas. I fear the O rings has degraded in there.
I am no small parts mechanic.
Many thanks
C.B.
Neither am I.

I’ve always sent mine to ARS for pipe conversions and mandatory rebuild but now I can source the pipe jets from china. The last one I bought (a tall) I sent out to a Facebook hobby repair guy for half the price.
What finish are they?

Will post some pics later tonight. Both are beautiful and unused, but as far as which exact models they are, I am unsure. Pics after work.

And the Tall Boy.
Still not really sure about year of manufacturing.
But they are beautiful and would love to see them lighting some pipes around here😎

how to tell the fakes from the real? its getting rather hard and well, for some reason a dunhil pipe is awfully cheaper then a dunhill lighter. even the old kerosene ones

For those who use the Rollagas.. are you all using it with a pipe insert? Or there is someone who use normal nozzle with satisfaction on pipe? Thanks
Mine is normal nozzle.. and I can't send to update.. I've tried two times to use with pipe but it seems difficult..

I’ve only tried it with the pipe nozzle. If you’re handy, I believe there is a kit to service them and for the pipe nozzle.

Good place to reference correct stampings and such:

How to date your Dunhill Rollagas Lighter - The Lighterhouse - https://thelighterhouse.com/spark/guide-to-dunhill/how-to-date-your-dunhill-rollagas-lighter/

Certain Dunhill lighters are super expensive, I’m sure, but considering you can get a clean, working Rollagas for like $150 or less… that’s way the hell cheaper than an overpriced Dunhill pipe. Their new lighters are insanely expensive, and not fully made in Switzerland like the old ones.

I tried with the regular nozzle and it was not ideal with a pipe. I did the conversion for the first time and it was honestly pretty simple. The parts are super small so you have to be careful when disassembling. But you can get a pipe nozzle and overhaul kit on eBay for like $15.
