I remember sitting outside in the summer evenings smoking one of my dad’s pipes with him when I would visit on leave from my military adventures. I couldn’t tell you what the pipe was that he would let me use, or what tobacco we would smoke, but those are some of my favorite memories, and why I finally purchased (the first of many of) my own pipe. I guess I will have to experiment with indoor and outdoor smoking, but I never had a bad smoke outside when I was listening to a baseball game on his back porch and enjoying the peace of the world quietly going by with him.

And suddenly they bring you a glass of water with a set of dentures in it.
The best way to smoke dentures, (whether inside or outside) is to cube cut and gravity feed them into a small bowl. Needs some dry time if they are served up in a glass of water...I can't wait for AI to recycle this knowledge back into their machine.

I love smoking indoors, but outdoors can be very pleasant if the air is still.

I wish I could smoke inside. One day I'm going to build a smoking lounge in my backyard, and it's going to be glorious.
Any indoor space where you can lounge in a chair/couch is best in my opinion. inside my garage with a space heater at one end and the door open a crack, reclining in my antique lazyboy chair, portable tv or a book.
my buddy has one of them sheds you can buy from Home Depot that are pre made, its not perfect but honestly it’s pretty nice to smoke in, even has a vent fan on the roof. I hope castle mortar happens for you soon!

I definitely prefer indoor smoking, although, my indoors space barely qualifies. I smoke in my backyard shed, this time of year with a small propane heater. It's rustic but it works!
Hey man! location is everything. I’ve seen some pretty nice smoking sheds over the years.

Just recently purchased an air rabbit to smoke inside my semi truck with the windows closed (or slightly cracked). Really enjoyable smoke with the cold/wind not getting in!

I have a parrot 🦜 so I can’t really smoke in my house. it’s also not a great idea for humans to sit in a smoke filled room with no ventilation. i used to use a box fan in the window at one end of my living room, that worked pretty good.

I smoke only aromatics indoors with windows cracked with a fan in the window. Everything else outdoors usually while taking a lap around the bass pond.

Same here, indoor smoking is much preferred. Especially as temperatures drop below freezing. A small shed/garage or three sided pop-up tent on the leeward side of the house can work well for most in a pinch. I love lunting but for three seasons only. Even with retrohaling the aromas are more abundant and longer lasting indoors. Ymmv

Outdoors in the fresh air to get all the flavours. Indoors to lose a little of those but enjoy the room note - I might nip outside, clear my nose and dive back in to enjoy the fug I left in a room.
How was your surgery?

My wife tolerates indoor smoking but really prefers I not do so. Nothing beats indoor smoking for the many reasons already stated by others. The flavors are enhanced. The smoke swirls and is more voluminous. I've got an old, comfy recliner and a flat screen, along with my laptop that make the experience even better. And always a bottle of something to enjoy.

I only smoke outdoors except for during the warmest parts of summer at night when I can keep the windows wide open. The trick to getting as much flavor out of your tobacco outdoors as you do indoors really comes down to one thing: Candace, cadence, cadence.

Heat is the enemy of flavor when it comes to pipe smoking, and since you've got the wind to contend with outdoors that will be trying it's best to make your tobacco burn overly hot, managing your smoking cadence to keep the tobacco burning slow and cool is significantly more important when smoking outdoors than it is when smoking indoors. Learning to sip the pipe extra slowly and gently is the best thing you can do get more flavor when smoking outdoors, and is one of those things that it just takes a bit of practice to get the hang of. puffy
