Earlier, I smoked a bowl of year 2017 Esoterica Dorchester in a straight smooth dark brown octagonal paneled mid-60s-early 70s Corporate Era Barling 4945 London England T.V.F. billiard with a square shank and black tapered square stem. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo.

Currently, I am smoking year 2021 first production Watch City Simply Orange Virginia in a black sandblast medium bend Peterson POTY 4AB No. 182/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Couldn't post before now because I fed the ferals, and after thanking me as he always does, Tomato the Brave got on my lap and soaked up the attention like a sponge.

Did some low calorie snacking, and am a quarter of the way through this bowl of KBV Burley Morning Pipe beta in a 2002 IMP smooth full bend egg shaped meer with a black acrylic saddle stem. Writing beta notes. Fed the ferals again. The main reason that they're coming inside more often is because I only put dry food out when it's day light. That keeps the possums and raccoons from eating their food, and hopefully, they'll just stop coming when they realize there's no food out for them any more.

Jim ... Thinking your "Goodbye" to Norton was conducted in a bit gentler fashion than this.

View attachment 436731
Yeah, I felt bad about it because we just adored Norton the Nosey, and he loved us deeply. But, giving him a really good home with my long time friend John who really needed Norton was better for both of them. Norton has adapted exceptionally well as I knew he would. He sleeps with John every night, and as John's kind of a hermit, Norton always has company. John really fell for Norton just like we did. Norton doesn't have to worry about Molly Danger or Daisy the Feral Princess giving him so much grief. It wasn't pleasant to see. Norton's full of more joy than just about any cat that I've ever seen, and I didn't want that joy of life diminished by the other cats. I saw that happen to Abner the Eager and Sam the Scamp, and I was not going to let it happen to another cat. But, yeah, we really miss him.

Now smoking year 2019 C&D Yorktown in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Terracotta 4AB No.108/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Tomato the Brave came back in even though it's too early for wet food. He's busy wanting head and back rubs, and just went to kitchen for dry food. Harry the Hairy is lying on the den floor just looking around. The water in the bowl outside was frozen solid, so I dumped it and put fresh water in it although I know it'll freeze, too.

Last smoke of the day is year 2016 D&R Two Timer Gold in a straight, black sandblasted pre-1970 Comoy’s Sunrise Etched Grain straight Liverpool 309 with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Harry the Hairy ate again and went out. Daisy the Feral Princess came in to eat. Tomato the Brave was snoozin' on the couch until he heard me open a can of wet food for Daisy. He came running for food. He'll do well for himself. I'm reading while this bowl lasts.
