Just got this from @marc75. It is my second ever Moretti and I am over the moon.

I am fixin' to load it up with SG Chocolate Flake here in a couple minutes.

And his big brother a Moretti Recanati that is amazingly light for a walking stick. Lol

I have a love/hate relationship with rustication, but I am a sucker for strange rustications that I don't hate.

Nice pipes. I bet it would take some serious puffing to get the bowl of the Moretti Recanati warm on the outside.

@wyfbane Is that by chance a bone or horn stem or a convincing replica? If so, I’ll have to comb through their catalogue.
It is just a replica. But it is lovely and comfortable.

Do you have a Ropp? I got one of those when SP first started carrying them to check horns stem off my bucket list.

I have to say, it fooled me! It even has subtle streaking that slightly unpolished bone stems have.

Oh yeah, I got a little Ropp Stout bulldog the first chance I got. They’re such cool pipes.

I also have a couple of vintage horn-stemmed pipes, but I’m always on the lookout for more. I’ll never buy a pipe solely for having a horn stem, but it makes a nice pipe even nicer. I’m not a clencher, but I do enjoy the feel of horn better than vulcanite or lucite.

I agree they feel great. I usually put rubber bits on my lucite stems. They just are a bit harder. I love horn and lucite. No oxidation!

Happy hunting.
