Buongiorno!

I've been to Italy once, we stayed at a small fisherman slash vacation village south of Taranto. I was impressed by Italian siesta - everything closes at 12-1 pm, and they open up again at 3... or don't.

Anyway, the food was great, people were friendly, what else to wish for!

Welcome!
Ive never been to Italy, but have an urge to visit. I recently found out I am 52% Italian after doing one of those Ancestry DNA tests. My sister bought the tests for herself, my brother and me....we were all adopted.
I postponed the test for over a year, but eventually gave in.
Anyways, the test says my ancestors "most likely" came from Sicily. Im not sure all Italians consider Sicily part of Italy, but I may be wrong. My information comes from the internet. :)

There seems to be a small but vocal group of Italians who dont much like Sicilians. I believe its a culture thing that was much more "popular" in decades past. Again, this is from stuff I read while researching Sicily after I found out my ancestors MAY be from Sicily.....or Southern Italy. The DNA people aren't 100% sure.
Either way, ive forced everyone to call me Don Sig now!
And I say "Fuhgeddaboudit" a lot now for some reason.
