One thing I'm learning about myself is that I'm a sucker for limited releases...

Anyone have any thoughts or info on the new Erik Stokkebye 2025 Limited Edition tobacco? I've only tried 1931 (love it), 1982 (not a favorite), and Evening Flake (going to let it rest for a while.) It's a little late for me to ask since I already ordered a tin, but wondering about others' expectations...

That looks really interesting. If it ever becomes available in the UK i'd definitely get some. Not important but the tin is really nice, as well. I noticed there's a special 4th Generation Old Boy that matches the tin.

My tin arrived today.

First, it's made by Kopp in Germany. SP's listing didn't designate an origin, but some other websites said it was from Denmark.

So, second, it's not surprising it came in a unsealed tin in an unsealed cellphone bag, just like Exotic Passion.

It's a mixture as described, some broken flake chunks and some cube cut, not too moist.

I smoked one bowl. My impression is it's as if the casings of Exotic Passion were reduced by 2/3 and a good bit of nice bright burley was added along with some red Virginia. Not much vanilla flavor, but it's there. I'd say the nicotine is medium or less.

In comparison to the other ES I've tried, I like it a lot less than 1931 (mine was by MacBaren.) In comparison to the other Kopp blends, I like it better than Exotic Passion but not as much as their Caribbean Blues.

In comparison to other 100g German tins I've tried, I definitely would go with HU in the future.

The casings are much diminished by the last third of the bowl and the burley comes more forward then.

Hope that's helpful to anyone!

(Edit for misspelling. )

It was unsealed but not crunchy, so there's got to be some humectant, but nowhere near Sutliff aero levels. No dottle in my one bowl in a Stanwell billiard. Three or four re-lights.

The only Kopp blend I've smoked is Year of the Dragon and I really like it. I'm going to have to give this one a go for the tin art alone hopefully I'll like the blend as well.
