Love Stephen king books,movies and old hoorer movies ,house of death is one to watch if you want a cheesy movie from back in the day
i recently watched “Hereditary” on a suggestion. I personally wouldnt recommend it.
However, it was far and away, the most unsettled Ive felt watching a movie, maybe besides the exorcist.
Hereditary was a very dark film, especially as a christian, it hit me really hard. Its one I wouldnt want to see again-stuff I dont like messing with.
Anyone else ever catch it?

I've watched a lot, but if I had to pick a favorite...
Wicker Man. Hands down. Zero blood. Zero gore. Creepy as all get out. I could watch it anytime.
Runner up: Cabin In The Woods. Lots of levels to this one. 1) Legit horror movie. 2) With actually funny jokes. 3) Which was clearly made by someone who is enough of a horror fan to know the genre tropes well enough to subvert them. While 4) also being a sneaky sociology lecture on the cultural significance and societal function of scary stories. And 5) is still enjoyable even if you never notice any of the subtext. Pretty nice trick.
Third place: Army of Darkness. Just good, dumb fun with lots of gore and one-liners. Plus, bonus: stop motion skeletons.

Saw it and it was disturbing but I thought it was good for its genre. Don’t watch Longlegs if that disturbed you.
Yeah, the end was wild. When they zoomed in on peters face and the people were chanting their mantra, my (usually docile and laid back) dog started growling and slowly backed up from the tv. he probably just keyed on the fear in peters face or something, but I was already on edge and that put it over the top!

For me, this time of year is when I need to remember to steer a little further away from the corners of my house when I'm wandering around. Took this picture and then 2 minutes later, forgot, turned around to walk back around the house - and walked right into the dang thing. It always takes me a couple of days to dial into "the season".
On a side note, walking into a spider web is a sure-fire way to become an immediate karate expert!
