Guys, I just have to post a little love letter to my new favorite blend--C&D Atlas Balkan.

Look, I'm no supertaster. I'm not going to waste your time using 14 occasionally conflicting adjectives to describe one component of the room note. What I am going to tell you is that this stuff is GOOD. Flavor and room note are big and noticeable--exotic spice, a bit of incense, and just plain delicious. It's like someone took a traditional English blend and just enhanced every single good thing about it. It's been my daily smoker since I first tried it and I don't see that changing any time soon.

A good thing for me is that it's devoid of Virginias. I have a sensitivity to VAs and they nuke my tongue if I smoke them more than once a day. AB does burn a tad hot but does not burn my tongue at all. I can and do smoke this 3-4 times a day and enjoy it every time.

If you like English blends at all you owe it to yourself to try this.

I haven't smoked a lot of their English blends but the ones I have certainly passed the test. Personally I really like Mountain Camp a lot and it does have red Virginia in it. Like it more then a lot of the ones that get talked up all the time.

I’m glad there are still fans of the Atlas blends.
I’ve smoked a fair bunch the Balkan, and always considered it an under appreciated blend.
