"We" is vague since WE don't know where you are, and if WE are THERE with you or not......
But you could mean EVERYONE...
Many of us are still hoping that quite a bit of this is posturing.
But, we all may be affected.
Tariffs are just another tax on the people and only the government coffers enjoy the spoils.

If these countries get tariffs, they had it coming for a long time.

The whole idea that this a tax on the people who put the tariff only works if the country who was tariffed has something to offer.

Certain countries don't have anything to offer.

You don't have the cards.

We, can be the royal We, because in this case it'll probably affect most of the world. I just keep on buying what I can, when I can, because I don't anticipate the world becoming a more warm and fuzzy place anytime soon.

If they have nothing to offer, why tariff anything?

I'm just thinking out loud , and wondering if we'll be seeing an increase in prices, now that it looks like we're entering a tit for tat trade war? I don't see how tobacco, coming from overseas, will escape taking a hit.
Tariffs are a tax on imported goods, sometimes broad some times targeted, which are paid by the companies doing the importing and then passed on to the consumer. They are a regular part of US economic activity. Check out the "chicken" tax and how it's used to increase the price of foreign made pick up trucks.

If imported tobacco is subject to a tariff, the price will go up accordingly.

I would expect the raw unprocessed commodity to be classified differently than the processed and packaged blends.

So long as they don’t tariff products from Kinston North Carolina I suppose I’m safe—-for now.:)

But right now North Carolina is the Pre Embargo Cuba, of the finest type of Old Belt bright leaf, for domestic use and export.
