So, a co-worker and friend knows I smoke pipes and he bought me this at an antique store a few weeks back. I haven't smoked it yet but I'm excited to take it for a spin.

The pipe has no markings and I'm wondering if anyone could tell me anything about it. Even the basket briars I've purchased in the past seem to have some type of marking. Any help would be much appreciated!

There are a lot of bucket pipes that don't have markings. If it smokes well and you like it, it doesn't matter. Otherwise, you will never get a definite answer on this. You could eliminate a lot of makers who absolutely mark everything, but then that would still leave hundreds of other makers that it could possibly be.

All in all, enjoy it if you like it. It is a sweet looking lil' pipe. If it brings you joy, that's all that matters.
