    What's your 2025 Lazarus blend?

St Bruno. I haven't sampled the new iteration, but from what I'm hearing, I don't want to. I have one pouch of the old stuff left. Ah well, plenty more fish n' all that.

    Got Cake?

Looks like a cake alright...a crumble cake.

    Joshua vs Paul 🥊💥

Not sure how anyone could think a 60 year old man with a severe weed addiction could beat a fit and sprightly 26 year old, no matter how technically awful the 26 year old is. A ten year old could beat Tyson as he is now.

Werner Mummert Glass Shank Reverse Calabash Poker With Polymerized Pine Cone

I'd love to have one of his pipes, but they are just too over priced for what they are.

    Joshua vs Paul 🥊💥

This didn't even count as light sparring for AJ. Deeply irresponsible bull as well. He was punching at about 20% of his power. If AJ had forgot himself for even a second and gave Paul what he gave Ngannou, we'd literally have a death. As much of a twat that Paul is, I wouldn't want to see him...

    Preferred Shape for Lakeland Blends?

Personally I find that pots are best. They allow the full range of flavours to be tasted. I find that narrow bowls smother everything in the lakeland flavour, and you miss out on what are usually high quality tobaccos. YMMV.

    What's your favorite painting?

I've always wanted to do the Renaissance tours in Italy. The one you describe in Florence sounds like a perfect starting point. I have seen one of his works here in the National Gallery in London, but have yet to see any in their natural habitat. Next year hopefully.

    What's your favorite painting?

For me, Giotto's work marks an important turning point in Western art. Figures that occupy actual space, rather than the flat, one-dimensional figures that dominated byzantine religious art. He's grasping at perspective, but he hasn't quite got it. Whilst not an absolute favourite, this one is...

    Opening A Tin? Show Us!

Smoking a bowl right now, from last year, scrum diddly:

    Pesse Canoe

That stuff is truly rotten. Bought a couple tins, had one bowl, awful. Now I'm concerned the other tin is a sitting contaminant. Never thrown out an unopen tin, first time for everything.

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. Tobacco - Restock purchases

I like Rich Dark Honeydew, but that is something of a lakeland bomb. It starts off that way at least, but I find the lakeland burns off quite quickly and you're left with some lovely, savory virginia/burley. Like a two course meal but in reverse, with desert taken first. Louisiana Flake is also...

    My Grandpa's Pipe

Blimey, that's a fantastic job, and a pipe with serious pedigree. Great story, thanks for sharing.

Popular Blends That Hit Your Blind Spot?

Haunted Bookshop hard pass for me. But the one that stands out above all others in its wretchedness, is Sutliff Molto Dolce. A true villain of a tobacco, if it even is a tobacco. I didn't pick the pipe up for a few days after that, a shocking experience. I wouldn't go near it again in a hazmat suit.

    What Were Your Go-To Tobacco’s in 2025?

F&T CVP MacB Virginia Flake Germains RDF Solani ABF Finally got to try two McC blends this year, Boston 1776, and Tudor Castle. Both excellent, but Boston the clear winner, and one of the best I've ever had the pleasure to smoke.
