Finally got to try two McC blends this year, Boston 1776, and Tudor Castle. Both excellent, but Boston the clear winner, and one of the best I've ever had the pleasure to smoke.
For me, if you can rotate, you should. In my experience, continual use of the same pipe will eventually lead to a sour smoke. You can probably smoke this off in time, but then you're hammering the pipe and mistreating it, and having some poor smokes in the meantime. I get that smoking multiple...
Northern Briars are great looking pipes, and great smokers, I own two, and hope to get a third for Xmas. You've got a cracking pipe there, happy birthday :)
Cancel culture is more en vogue now than it ever has been. It it were an item of clothing it would be doing the rounds on the Paris and Milan catwalks.
Smoke King are a great company. Had a sizeable package from them go astray the other day, and they resent it without any bother. Always really friendly on the phone, good people.
I only really smoke one bowl a day now. That's at the end of the day when I like to pair it with a beer or two. If it's a pale lager, or a pilsner, I'll normally have a straight virginia, or in the high months of summer, a vaper. If I'm drinking a wheat beer, or a hells, I'll go with something...
McConnell Scottish Flake, Solani 633, Orlik Golden Sliced, Peterson Deluxe Navy Rolls, Gawith Hoggarth Louisiana Flake, Dan Tobacco Salty Dogs, Cornell and Diehl Bayou Morning, Samuel Gawith St James Flake, to name a few goodies.
Fantastic, I'll try that one. You've sold me on it. BTW, I also find the Curly Cut Deluxe a little on the spicy side, but in a bit of an unpleasant way, sharp and raw.
If I may ask. When you transfer your McB to bags, do you have seperate bags for each tin, or do you just have one big mylar and heap all the tins in together?
You've had three smokes from it, but the tin has been opened more than 20 times. That lid is like a whore's legs the amount it's been opened and shut. It might help explain this mysterious 'self loosening' you describe.
And don't forget enforcing the constitution. You can't have a constitution without government. As a wise man once said, 'covenants without the sword are but words'.
